In 1971, Leo Ferre the famous French poet and singer – and his wife Maria Cristina Diaz buy this farm where you will establish with your family and where they live today Maria Cristina and children.  

Right now the Ferré dealing with back together and make productive vineyards and about 5,000 olive trees. The first harvests are sold loose until the early 90s when it decides to bottle and begin to market on their own.

THE
CELLAR

SThe cellar, followed until the last days of Giulio Gambelli and today by Federico Staderini, it has a setting where the traditional sign of the territory and the difference of the vintages have the absolute prevalence of any form of standardization of wines. Fermentations occur spontaneously without inoculated yeasts, maceration is prolonged and the wines remain “sur lie” for several months. The base wines are aged only in stainless steel while the cru older wood.

ORGANIC
PRODUCTS & TASTING

In the vineyard in 2012 began the conversion to certified organic. In San Donatino it is always possible to make a free tasting at any time of the year and without reservation, while in San Donato in Poggio (12 km approx) the farm will allow you to stay pleasantly nestled among vineyards and olive trees.”
